Terms of Service

Tripwire is an independent Discord moderation tool. By using the Tripwire website, dashboard, or bot, you agree to these Terms of Service.

1. What Tripwire Does

Tripwire helps Discord server staff monitor configured channels, log moderation activity, and trigger configured moderation actions such as bans or timeouts.

2. Who May Use Tripwire

You may use Tripwire only if you are allowed to use online services in your jurisdiction and you have authority to manage or access the Discord server features you are using.

3. Acceptable Use

• Do not use Tripwire for unlawful, abusive, or deceptive activity.
• Do not attempt to bypass access restrictions or gain unauthorized dashboard access.
• Do not interfere with Tripwire, its hosting, or related systems.
• Do not use Tripwire in violation of Discord’s rules, policies, or developer requirements.

4. Server Staff Responsibility

Server owners and moderators are responsible for deciding how Tripwire is configured in their server, including watched channels, logging, and punishment settings. Tripwire is a tool, not a substitute for staff judgment.

5. Dashboard Access

Dashboard access may be limited to people who own, administer, or moderate shared Tripwire-enabled Discord servers. Access may be denied, limited, or revoked at any time for security, abuse prevention, or operational reasons.

6. Data and Logs

Tripwire may process or display limited service data needed to operate, including server IDs, channel IDs, user IDs, watched channel settings, moderation event logs, command metadata, and related configuration data. Privacy practices are described further in the Privacy Policy.

7. Availability

Tripwire is provided on an as-is and as-available basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, flawless detection, or prevention of all spam, raids, or moderation mistakes.

8. No Warranty

To the maximum extent allowed by law, Tripwire is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, Tripwire and its operator are not liable for lost data, moderation mistakes, server disruption, missed detections, incorrect punishments, indirect damages, or consequential damages arising from use of the service.

10. Suspension or Termination

Tripwire access may be suspended or terminated at any time, with or without notice, especially for abuse, misuse, security concerns, or operational shutdown.

11. Changes to These Terms

These Terms may be updated from time to time. Continued use of Tripwire after updates means you accept the revised Terms.
